Future DPS Meetings

If you would like to host a future DPS meeting we would like to hear from you! The first step is to make sure that your city has a facility large enough to host the meeting (the number of attendees has grown to >700). We have a spreadsheet (Excel format), courtesy of Jason Barnes, to help you make that judgement with a few examples. Note that a convention center is not necessary if there is a hotel available with adequate space.

Once you have checked on this minimum threshold please contact any DPS Officer or DPS Committee member. For tips and advice on running an annual meeting, see the most recent version of the DPS Meeting Guide.

Note for the meeting dates listed below the first day is the opening reception, registration, and workshops. Scientific sessions begin on the next day. There is also information for first-time attendees and students available.

On a white background, "DPS 2026" in blue text with the DPS logo inside the 0 of 2026. "25-30 October | Spokane, WA" in black text below. The graphic is six columns of gray columnar basalt arranged in a line from left to right with a cyan waterfall flowing from the center.
