Please find attached a call for proposals under the Dr. Margaret “Marmie” Perkins Hess
Research Fellowship in Earth, Ocean, Astronomy and Environmental Sciences program.
The Hess Fellowship will support outstanding postdoctoral fellows in one or more of the
following areas:
– Earth sciences
– Ocean sciences
– Astronomy
– Environmental sciences
Awards are valued at $55,000/year for up to two years to cover salary and benefits (10%) as
well as an additional $2,000/year for research expenses.
The application deadline is May 16, 2021 (11:59 pm PST). A total of five fellowships will be
awarded.
