The Department of Physics (physics.cos.ucf.edu) at the University of Central Florida invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level beginning in August 2016. We seek candidates with experience in physics education research to add to UCF’s blossoming program in that area. Preference will be given to candidates with strength in cognitive science, and/or research and development in upper division physics courses, and/or astronomy education research. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Physics, or a related discipline, from an accredited institution and have a substantial record of independent, well regarded research. The successful applicant is expected to establish a vigorous, externally funded and creative research program and have a strong commitment to excellence in graduate and undergraduate education.
