STILL LOOKING FOR HOUSING IN CAMBRIDGE?
If you are still without accommodation in Cambridge, here is some
good news. The LOC has made an arrangement with a fourth college,
St Edmund's College, to offer student rooms (B+B) on a standby
basis. This accommodation will be allocated on site, at the
Registration Desk. Delegates who use this service will pay the
College direct, by credit card, when they collect their room key.
Simon Mitton will answer accommodation questions prior to the
Meeting by e-mail <smitten at cambridge.org>

LAST MINUTE INFORMATION ON CAMBRIDGE
Weather prospects
This year, late summer in Cambridge has been cool, cloudy, breezy
and rainy. The LOC recommend that everyone comes prepared for
rain because it is not possible to walk under cover from
colleges to the Meeting venue.
Little essentials to pack
In packing for the Meeting delegates may wish to consider
the following points. DPS2005 is not providing a fancy
conference bag or notepads of quarto paper. In European hotels,
and therefore the college rooms of DPS2005, the bathroom
towelling supplied does not include facecloths. Tissues
(e.g. Kleenex) are not provided either. But, of course, there
will be soap and shampoo.
Making everyone welcome
On Sunday September 4, the DPS2005 volunteer staff will be on
duty at all three Colleges: St John's, Robinson, and
St Catharine's. Their uniform is a smart yellow polo shirt with
a DPS2005 logo in blue. Our volunteer staff will help with
directions to find your room, with luggage, and local
information. Members of the LOC will be available through
cellular / mobile phones to resolve unexpected difficulties.
The volunteers and the College staff will have their numbers.

JOB LISTINGS BULLETIN BOARD AVAILABLE IN CAMBRIDGE
There will be a bulletin board with the heading "Job Listings"
at the Cambridge meeting. Those seeking to hire are welcome
to post a description of the job, along with contact information
(including that for the meeting, if you would like to talk with
candidates in person).
