REQUEST FOR VOLUNTEERS FOR DPS 2006 LOC
I am seeking a few eager volunteers to help with meeting arrangements
for the 2006 DPS meeting in Pasadena. Not all members of the
Local Organizing Committee need to be "local", for example one urgent
need is for a webmaster to set up and maintain the meeting web site.
This can be set up and maintained on the AAS server at the
Executive Office in Washington, so the person volunteering does not
even need a host computer facility. Other tasks needing volunteers
include arranging poster and exhibit space, A-V arrangements,
setting up special events (banquet, tours, ancillary workshops), etc.
Some of these tasks do require being local, so I especially invite
volunteers from Caltech and JPL, or other local residents.
