CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY PRESS EVENT AT DPS 2005
On the evening of Thursday September 8, Cambridge University Press
will stage a private opening of its Bookshop at 1 Trinity Street, in
the heart of Cambridge. They will be open 6 pm - 7.30 pm for
HAD/DPS attendees, who will need to just show their meeting badge.
The entire stock will be discounted by 20%. Wine and other refreshments
will be served. There will be no speeches. Delegates can come and go,
just as they please.
Cambridge UP is the official publisher for the International
Astronomical Union.

ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS FOR NSF GRADUATE RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
PANELISTS
The American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) is seeking
panelists to evaluate applications for the National Science
Foundation's Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP). NSF annually
awards approximately 1,000 fellowships annually to outstanding students
in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines.
We are recruiting experts to serve on the physics and astronomy panel.
NSF seeks diverse panels composed of outstanding researchers from a
wide range of institutions, geographic locations, and backgrounds.
Potential panelists should be knowledgeable of NSF's Merit Review
Criteria and capable of evaluating interdisciplinary proposals.

GFRP applications will be reviewed and evaluated over a three-day
period in February 2006 in the metro DC area. For more information,
