VOLUNTEERS REQUESTED FOR DPS FEDERAL RELATIONS SUBCOMMITTEE
The DPS Committee has established a three person subcommittee with
staggered three-year appointments to collect and maintain information
on federal activities that impact planetary science funding. The
purpose of this subcommittee is to keep the DPS Committee abreast of
upcoming hearings and developments in the federal budget process. In
addition, it will collect information for the DPS Committee in managing
DPS federal education activities. However, the FRS is not intended to
act as a lobbying arm of the DPS nor to speak for the DPS. A more
detailed description may be found at http://www.aas.org/~dps/frs.html
The appointment will be made for a 3-year term. If you would like to
volunteer, please contact me.
