DPS 2002 MEETING HOTEL INFORMATION

Due to competing local events, the DPS hotel block at the Birmingham
Sheraton is full for Saturday, October 5.  If you need a room for
Saturday night and need help in finding accommodations please contact
Diana Alexander via email at [email protected].  Plenty of rooms remain
available throughout the conference week, Sunday October 6 through
Friday October 11.  (Double rooms are sold out for Sunday October 6,
but king rooms remain available.)

ALSO NOTE the hotel FAX number previously posted on the website was
incorrect.  The correct FAX number for the Birmingham Sheraton is:  
205 307 3085. You may make your reservations directly with the hotel 
by calling them at 205 324 5000.

FURTHER INFORMATION ABOUT IAU MEMBERSHIP

Since DPS Affiliate members do not get the AAS Newsletter (and
consequently the printed IAU application) please note that this form
and instructions are available at

http://www.aas.org/membership/iauform02.pdf

The application form needs to be downloaded and printed, it is not 
a form to be filled out online.

Please also note that there was a typo in the dates of the IAU
General Assembly in mailing #02-31. The correct dates are 
July 13-26, 2003.
